Benefits of Membership

Benefits of membership make the relatively modest cost of joining well worthwhile. These initially include:Community Day 2

  • Discounted tickets to events and free tickets for members to some events.
  • Discounted rates for room hire.
  • Discounted membership at the Cheltenham Chase Spa and Leisure Centre.

  • Receive information about events and activities through members’ e-mails and newsletters
  • Occasional members’ only bar promotions.
  • Have your say in how the community centre and association is run.

MEMBERSHIP RATES FOR NEW MEMBERS
Adult      (including lone-parent families) £7.00
Family     (includes children up to age 18) £14.00
Concession      (includes Senior Citizens & those on Benefit) £5.00
Junior £4.00
There is no longer a refundable deposit on membership cards

Important Information about Membership Renewals

For Existing Members all membership expire on December 31st each year and need to be renewed by January 31st.

New Memberships 2017

If you join by April 30th, your membership will be valid until the end of the year and you will need to renew by January 31st 2018.

If you join between May 1st and August 31st you should join at the half-year rate, but then need to review by January 31st 2018.

If you join at the full rate between September 1st and December 31st your membership will be valid until January 31st 2019.

Social Club

Now that the Social Club has a new Premises Licence, which means that the bar is open to everyone, it is the Community Association’s policy that membership is not essential for participation in any activity at the Centre. However, we are still a membership organisation and we very much hope that existing members will continue to renew their memberships and that new members will be attracted to join.

Membership of course supports the Association financially, and – even more importantly – a strong membership gives us much more strength when, for instance, applying for funding for different projects, and when dealing with local councils, etc.

So – please do continue to support us by taking up membership, and we will do all that we can to make it worth your while.


Gift Aid

If you are UK income tax payer, we are now able to offer you the opportunity to gift aid your membership fee to the Association.  This costs you nothing more than the standard fee. Giving under Gift Aid means that so much more money can be raised for the HCA at no extra cost to our members.

By signing up for the scheme, you are giving us permission to reclaim tax paid on your membership or donation, increasing the value of your gift by 25p for every £1 you give us, at no cost to you. Registering is so easy – and it only takes a few minutes, just download and complete this simple form or pop in and pick one up from the office.
